I find Ejiko Kokeshi very appealing and was surprised to find that these are Nemariko, a sort-of "seated" style of Naruko (Narugo) Kokeshi. They are 6 1/4" high, have a beautiful wood grain and I love that one is black and the other red. The mark was identified by the seller as Okazaki Yasuo, which I haven't been able to confirm, but I've seen a number of Kokeshi which have been identified as having the Okazaki family name on them, so I see no reason to doubt it. (I still think they look a lot like Ejiko with their sweet, childlike faces.)
