This is a second etching by Shigeru Kimura (1929 - ), again showing a path with surrounding flora. Kimura is mentioned in Frances Blakemore's book 'Who's Who in Modern Japanese Prints' and he has exhibited works internationally, as well as being represented at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Unfortunately, I have been able to discover very little about this artist. The piece is not titled or dated but is pencil signed and numbered 55/75. The dimensions of the frame are 14 1/4" x 15" and the image size is about 7" x 7 3/4". We have not had it out of the frame since it's acquisition but it appears to have been properly matted, and there is no apparent matte burn, foxing or other defects that we can see ...... $150.00
