This is a very nice Spanish type French Navaja. The blade is marked 'Haudeville En Albacotte' and the piece probably dates from the mid to late 1800s. As you can see in the photos, the length, open, is approximately 16 1/4" (41cm) long. The blade length is 7" (17.8cm) along the edge. The handle is horn with brass studs and plates and the horn is in good condition. A defensive weapon, it looks like it could be quite formidable. There is a small nick on the blade edge and a couple of imperfections in the horn but, overall, a very nice and presentable piece ...... $175.00
