This is a wonderful, large Japanese watercolor that dates from the early 1900's. Measuring 19 1/4 inches high x 25 5/8 inches wide, the pictures shows and woman and a child standing a bridge, with a shrine or pavilion in the background, and appreciating a blossoming tree. The piece is signed T. Masamitsu and it in nice condition. There is overall toning and some small brown spots on the back - with a few spots showing through in the sky area of the painting. This painting is very striking and would make a wonderful addition to most any decor. The painting has acid-free materials for matting and protection, supported with foamcor and plastic wrapped - the glare in the photos is from the lighting reflecting on the protective plastic ...... $650.00
