This is a beautiful set of elegant tableware for 6 (minus 1 spoon). The set is from Austria and the knife blades are marked 'Berndorf' with the logo of a bear. The knife measures about 10" in length and each handle is marked with a stamped '30' and '90', as well as with the initials 'BMF' and what looks like a lion(?). Each spoon is about 8 1/2" long and marked 'AUS'. Each fork measures about 8 3/8" long and is marked with a star. There are no monograms and, other than the knife blades showing some oxidation, the pieces are in very nice condition. As near as I can discover, this set dates from around 1900. The case, which was made to contain this set of 6 place settings (minus 1 spoon, as previously mentioned) is good for holding the pieces but the exterior is not in good condition and repair or replacement of the outer bottom board is warranted ...... $275.00
