This delicate sake (saki) cup with the mountain and river mark of Fukagawa and the colors of the Imari wares of Arita is truly a work of art in miniature. Measuring only 2" in diameter x 13/16" high, this piece displays more intricacy and detail than pieces many times it size.. The 3 reserves of Phoenix are bordered with underglaze blue and gilt while the rest of the interior design is medallions of differing design. The only exterior decoration are 2 gilt bands around the foot rim - they do show some wear. This little cup is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, enamel loss or repairs ...... $65.00
