This is a very nice Japanese watercolour painting, signed S. Niimi, of the bridge to the temple complex at Nikko, Japan. Although a fairly prolific watercolor artist, I've not been able to find any supplimental information regarding dates, education, et cetera for this person. This watercolor measures 20" by 13 3/8" - including narrow margins. The piece is done on heavy paper and not backed. There is no toning that I've noticed but there are a couple of small brown spots. There are no creases or folds and there is no indication of tape, toning or matburn from previous matting/mounting ...... $225.00
