This is an excellently done Japanese watercolor of trees in blossom along a small river. Sharing the scene is a house a small foot-bridge, one boat tied up and another boat with 2 couples - the second woman is just boarding with the assistance of one of the men. This very nice, large watercolour painting measures 19 1/4" x 12 3/4" and is signed in the lower left corner "D. Hayashi". The watercolor is on heavy artist's board and shows indications on the back of 2 previous framings. There is some burning of the back. The front of the painting has a 1/4" mat line around it with very minor indication of lightening and some matburn, particularily noticeable along the top and right side ...... $275.00
